Died at his farm after a short illness in 2026. Started his career in Canada, before a long spell in America, in NASCAR and CART - the latter of which he ran his own team in. After a road accident, he was confined to a wheelchair but remained upbeat and busy, owning and working on his farm and stayed linked to the sport through visits of historic events and advising local sprint and stock car drivers, as well as helping various local enthusiasts with their car. Hucul started racing in the 1960's in super-modified cars, racing in the CAMRA racing series, and the discipline was something Cliff continued to race in for many years afterwards.
