Hit a wall in qualifying for the event and decided it was too dangerous to carry on in that car (maybe with good reason as Arthur Greiner raced it and was involved in a fatal crash). Raced in the US for quite a while, but left the US shortly after World War 1. Later worked as a team manager and in Mexico as a driver for their Army. Moved back to the US in the 1920's and worked as a garage owner and oil industry executive. Latterly though, Morris was a produce dealer and farmer in Nogales, Arizona. He died of a heart-attack whilst on business in California.
