Still alive and now running a business in Erbach - Biechteler GmbH, which specialise in technical products for Mercedes cars, EvoBus buses and M.A.N. trucks. Full name is Gottlieb. Biechteler raced in sportscars and rallies after his Formula 2 spell, and also raced in the Aurora F1 series around the same time as F2. Gerd actually started his career in sportscars too, in 1971 and has some success in his native land in the early 1970's.
