Moved sideways and backward after Formula 3000, firstly to the Open Nissan, then into German and French F3 and then back into karts! No longer racing and works as a driver coach. Laurent had more success in the Euro Open Nissan series, coming third in 1999, a year that saw the title won by Fernando Alonso. Delahaye, a race winner that year, finished ahead of the likes of Tomas Scheckter and Antonio Garcia. Another solid year in 2000 followed but thereafter his career petered out.
