Twin brother of Ricardo, who overshadowed him in Formula 3000, Rodrigo moved into the Formula Nissan series in 2002, but now often competes in Brazilian stock cars, where it was his turn to overshadow Ricardo. Became vice-champion in 2007, on the very same day his cousin Rafael was killed in a crash. In 2011, he also moved into GT's in his homeland and in 2015, with Ricardo, moved to the Blancpain Endurance series, with a Brazillian team. However one year later, he went back to stock cars in his homeland, but spends most of his time running the three businesses he and Rodrigo have; two agricultural businesses (a wholesale firm and a farming business) and one sporting promotional and production business. Having not driven very much at all since 2016, it was a welcome surprise when he returned to racing in 2023 in the NASCAR Brazilian Pro Series.
