This followed a brief, but rather unsuccessful, IRL spell in 2013, a year which Barrichello combined his Stateside driving to work as a TV commentator and summariser. Lives in his home city, but also has a base in Portugal. In 2017, Barrichello took up more sportscar racing, including racing at Le Mans and as well as stockcars in both Brazil and Argentina and competed in more US endurance events from 2019 onwards.
