Largely retired from competitive racing, but for a while raced in the ADAC GT Masters. However, Heinz-Harald had knee surgery in 2014, a legacy of a crash sustained in Formula 1, so decided not to race in 2015 and will only compete in special or historic events. He is now largely concentrating on his business projects, including the family undertakers business, where he is currently driving hearses, and his own family, but he has also been involved with developing electric cars recently and will undertake more of that now, after his recovery from surgery is complete. Frentzen is also getting involved in the solar panel business, with his house almost exclusively solar-powered.
