Still well and still working. Fredy currently runs a large garage dealership, which specialises in BMW automobiles, which he established whilst racing. Fredy lives in Hochdorf. Schnarwiler was a graduate of German and European Formula 3. Schnarwiler also had a spell in sportscars during his single-seater spell but stopped racing after his Formula 2 spell in 1982 so that he could concentrate on his garage. Schnarwiler also had a brief crack at hillclimbing.
