Mainly involved in chassis design, but was part of the famed Lotus team of engineering experts, including Colin Chapman, Tony Rudd and Martin Ogilvie, that worked together to create the Lotus 77, and most famously, the Lotus 79. Later went into designing sportscars in America but was most recently in the sport working as a suspension expert in the BTCC for Petronas. Aldridge still lives in Norfolk, and is interested in a different form of design - model planes but still remains involved as a consultant on car design projects.
