Now retired as a driver, he was involved in Prost's management for a while, stopping his racing once his Formula 1 days were over. Now involved with the family supermarket firm and other businesses, including his main project, which is a huge organic food production business. Also for some years ran the Brazilian Formula Renault series. Although Diniz's career was definitely aided by a strong budget, he performed strongly - albeit a little inconsistently - in Formula 3, Formula 3000 and Formula 1, taking a couple of strong fifth places in the latter.
