Made the switch to America to race in Indy Pro. More recently, the very personable Kane has raced in the American Le Mans Series, the World Endurance Championship and the FIA GT series. In 2017, he appeared in the Blancpain series. Kane won the 1995 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award, a number of karting titles in Ireland and most notably the 1997 British Formula 3 title but he struggled in Britain to find any finance his results and talent deserved to progress further than a brief spell in Formula 3000. In 2018, he became part of the coaching team of the Pure GT McLaren series, a private GT4 series set up for amateur drivers to race McLaren sportscars against each other and remains in a driving coach role today, including recently for the W series.
