A kart and Formula Palmer Audi graduate, and brother of sportscar racer Ollie, his progress in Formula 3000 was halted by money problems. Until 2013, he was a sportscar regular, with some Porsche Carrera Cup racing but since then has moved into historic racing. He is also a driver coach, test and development driver, a motorsport consultant and is also heavily involved in his main business role, which is as consultant and acquisition expert of historic cars, garnered by a long career in historic motorsport, which started, unusually for a driver who at the time of starting the discipline was still in Formula 3000.
