Initially had a sabbatical from F1, but is now retired. from driving. Dabbles in both business and showbusiness at present, and regards the latter, works regularly on British radio. Irvine had an unwelcome legal problem in 2014 after a brawl in Italy, where he was given a six month jail sentence, but in reality, he will never serve time in prison. His business interests are mainly focused on his Eddie Irvine Sports facility in Bangor, Northern Ireland, where there is a snooker, pool, kart racing, football and paintballing facility.
