Jaguar, Haas (2003-2023)

Later moved to the US and NASCAR after his Jaguar and Red Bull Formula 1 spells. Now runs his own business, Composite Fibreworks, which includes fabrication for a number of cars in a wide variety of racing series in the United States. More recently, he's been involved in the Haas F1 project and was the team principal for the team which entered Formula 1 in 2016 up until the beginning of 2024. He had a little involvement in the design department too, but Gunther was heavily involved with promotion, management and administration for Haas rather than designing. Before he made it to Formula 1, he worked for years in rallying with Mazda, Lancia, Prodrive and Ford amongst others in numerous capacities. Steiner also worked in the DTM after leaving Jaguar. Due to the television series, Drive to Survive, Gunther has picked up quite a large popular following on social media and is using that to good effect by writing a book and working in various media.
