Fix was better known for his midget career and arguably also his supermodified career than his single-seaters; his ARS appearances were themselves sporadic. Fix raced in midgets from the late 1970's until the late 1980's. Died in 2025 after a motorcycle accident. Born in Denver, but often listed as being from Englewood, Colorado, he also raced in sprint cars. He was a mechanic, but worked in the manufacturing industry. Fix was a committed Christian, who served as a chaplain and Bible study teacher with the Christian Motorcycle Association, and was a minister at the Pinal Cowboy Church. He was also a member of Truck Stop Ministries and the Men’s Cowboy Coffee group.
