Real first name is Charles. Later raced in sportscars and Grand-Am, but now retired, and runs a marketing company in Arizona. Brassfield had the most success racing in the IMSA Sportscar series, where he won many times. Darin also raced in two NASCAR series; the main Winston Cup in 1989, taking a strong 12th place at Watkins Glen, and then the Craftsman Truck series in 1997. But it is sportscars in which he raced the longest. Between 1980 and 2006, Darin raced in over 175 events in the US and Canada, taking 12 outright wins, 15 class wins, 32 podiums and taking nine pole positions.
