Still living in Texas, and is now a frequent historic racer. More recently he has also undertaken diverse activities like rallying and land speed record attempts. Charlie has been involved in motorsport for over 30 years now. He also runs a gas and oil exploration business and is an aviator. As well as this he runs a fly-fishing ranch and is involved in many local community projects. As a collector of racing and road cars, Nearburg has also opened up his collection for all to see in a vast display inside the Petersen Automotive Museum in California.
