Now retired, after a long endurance career, racing between the mid 1970's up until the mid 1990s, in a discipline for which he is far better known, which included Trans-Am, the World Sportscar Championship and IMSA. Wood's foray into single-seaters was relatively brief and largely unsuccessful, but in sportscars, he enjoyed a bit more success, including two class wins.
