Later worked in racing safety, including racing belts. As a racer, he drove in sportscars and hillclimbs mainly. Started competing in the late 1950's, and was still in sportscars until the mid 1980's. Also raced in Formula Junior and touring cars. Later worked as a businessman, developing the safety belts and other safety accessories - the business continues in Gelterkinden, the place where Kurt died in 2014.
