Sadly died in 2010, after a period of ill-health. He still ran his teams in numerous GT and endurance series until ill-health, and was also an official Ferrari dealer and he ran a large squad of Ferrari challenge cars. He also liked to restore the Formula 1 cars that he drove in. Son Ronnie has taken over much of the operation after Loris' passing and the team still lives on in endurance racing and the dealership still does well despite Loris' death. Kessel started his driving career in 1970 and carried on until 2008 when his illness meant he couldn't carry on.
