Veteran of racing, who had over 30 years experience in the sport. However, he was also well known for his team ownership of his Group 44 team and also worked as a race promoter. His team competed in SCCA events, IMSA and Trans-Am. He started racing himself in 1961 after enrolling at a driving school for racing. He soon developed into sportscar racing but worked at Kodak. Forced to make a decision, he chose racing and soon set up his own business, which built cars for resale, maintained and repaired cars and worked on sponsorship renewal and discovery for racing. As well as US Cars, Tullius chose to invest in British cars too and both he and his team raced a number of British Leyland Cars. The team disbanded in 1990 but Bob retains links with the sport since. An immensely successful sportscar driver, his appearance in the ARS Series so close to his last racing effort was a small footnote in his long career. In 2018, he was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
