Vastly respected driver, who returned to his Champ Car team and CART administration after a brief and thoroughly miserable time as head of the Ford side of the Jaguar F1 project. In 2004, he followed Adrian Fernandez in switching his team from CART to IRL and his team remains in the series, running his son Graham, over a decade on. He did also have an ALMS team. Also now very frequently appears at historic events, and was also the co-owner and competition director of US based Legends of Motorsport Series, in which he drove. He is also a businessman, who runs over fifteen car dealerships.
