Notes on the cars:

  1. March 713M [1] (Hannelore Werner): New to Eifelland Wohnwagenbau for Hannelore Werner to race in German and European F3 in 1971. To Heinz Lange (Neuburgweiler, Baden-Württemberg) at the end of the season, and used in the Italian F3 series where Lange hired a Brabham BT35 from Scuderia Italia and the 713M was raced by Piergiovanni Tenani, Clois Avigni and "Shangri-Là" (Romano Martini). It may have been raced once by Livio Franzoso in 1973, but apparently retained by Lange that year. Sold to Werner Fischer (Waiblingen, Baden-Württemberg) for 1974, then to Biagio Brandi (Bad Homburg, Hesse) in 1978, and then to Marcel Biehl (Mönchengladbach, North Rhine-Westphalia), who posted pictures of the unrestored car on Facebook in November 2013. Immaculately restored and raced by Biehl in 2015. Sold to former owner Werner Fischer in 2016, and raced by him in the German HRA series in 2017 and 2018.
  2. Lotus 69 [71/69-4.F3] (Manfred Mohr): New to Manfred Mohr and raced extensively in European F3 in 1971, using Novamotor engines. Sold to Fabrizio Noè for 1972. Noè had raced a 1971 Lotus 69 in F3 in 1971 but in early 1972 was reported to have sold his car to Fiorenzo Togna and bought Mohr's "monocoque" car to replace it. This suggests Mohr's car had acquired a F2 chassis at some point during 1971. Raced by Noè in Italian F3 in 1972. Subsequent history unknown.
  3. March 713S [8] (Willi Sommer): New to Eifelland for Formula 3 and delivered in March 1971. Although there is no contemporary identification of this car's first driver, it was identified by Bonhams in a sale in Germany in August 2003 as Willi Sommer's car, commenting that the car had its original ONS-Wagenpass issued in 1971. Sommer raced a March 713S through the 1971 season as part of the Eifelland Wohnwagenbau team. According to Chris Townsend, it then went to Hans Deffland (Munich, Bavaria) for 1972, entered by Formel Team München. After the 1972 season, Deffland exchanged it for the crashed Porsche 910 of Walter Proebst (Adlkofen, Landshut, Bavaria), and Proebst raced the car in German hillclimbs, initially in the F3 class and later in F2. Bonhams did not account for its history after 1971 until it was restored "1996-99 by Auer of Dortmund".
  4. March 713S [6] (Wolfgang Bülow): New to Eifelland for Formula 3 and delivered in March 1971. Identified by Autosport as the car raced extensively through 1971 by Wolfgang Bülow (Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany). To Utz Schad (Oberafferbach, Johannesberg, Bavaria) for 1972. Subsequent history unknown.
  5. March 713S (Hermann Unold): Hermann Unold (Ludwigshafen, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany) raced a March 713S through the 1971 season as part of the Eifelland Wohnwagenbau team, using a Schntizer BMW engine for at least part of the season. Unold did not continue with Eifelland after 1971, and the fate of his March 713S is not known.
  6. March 703 (Dieter Kern): Dieter Kern (Ransbach-Baumbach, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany) ran a March 703 in the 1-litre class of German Formula 3 in 1971.
  7. March 703 (Josef Kremer): Josef Kremer (Köln/Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany) ran a March 703 in the 1-litre class of German Formula 3 in 1971.
  8. March 713S (Wilhelm "Willi" Deutsch): Wilhelm "Willi" Deutsch raced a March 713S right through the 1971 season as part of the Eifelland Wohnwagenbau team. Deutsch stayed with Eifelland for 1972. The fate of his March 713S is not known.
  9. March 713S [5] (Erwin Derichs): New to Eifelland for Formula 3 and delivered in March 1971. Listed in March records as for "Erwin", so presumably the car raced by Erwin Derichs (Kottenheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, West Germany) in some German national F3 races in 1971 as part of the Eifelland Caravaning team. According to Manfred Werner, this was then the car of Bernd Rack (Kelkheim, Hesse, West Germany) in 1972 and 1973. Subsequent history unknown.
  10. March 713S (Klaus Enders): Klaus Enders (Wetzlar, Hesse, West Germany) raced a March 713S in 1971 season as part of the Eifelland Wohnwagenbau team, but was seen mainly in national events. His first known 1971 race with the team was in May, so he may have taken the place of Franz Pesch. Enders was better known as a motorcycle sidecar racer, and he returned to motorcycle racing after 1971. His last known race in a 713S was at Mendig at the end of August 1971, and as all the other German 713Ss raced in the Eifelland-Caravaning-Pokal at the Nürburgring in October, this must have been the car driven by guest star Howard Carpendale, a German-based South African singer. Subsequent history unknown.
  11. Lotus 69 [71/69-5.F3] (Thomas Betzler): New to Harald Ertl and raced extensively in European F3 in 1971, using Alfa Romeo engines and entered by Weissmann Team Alfa Romeo. It was also raced by Thomas Betzler at two German national races in August. Ertl continued to be entered in the car after that, but did not arrive for any race. Driven by Ertl again at the start of 1972, now with Ford engines and entered by Manfred Weissmann Racing, but he focused on saloon racing that year. Sold to Klaus Scholtyssek (Sprendlingen, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany) for 1973 and used in German national events. Subsequent history unknown.
  12. March 703 (Peter Krause): Peter Krause (Grefrath, North Rhine-Westphalia, West Germany) ran a March 703 in the 1-litre class of German Formula 3 in 1971.
