Son of legendary film actor, Steve McQueen, Chad followed his father's passion with motorsport, but at more success in single-seaters. The son of McQueen and Filipino actress Neile Adams, Chad's own son, also called Steve, is an accomplished actor. Chad himself has worked as an actor but largely only in small parts. He has also worked as a producer, stunt driver and martial arts actor. Taking his father's lead, Chad raced in motocross and sportscars during his career as well as a brief crack at single-seaters. He had to stop racing after a crash at Daytona in 2006 whilst practising for the Daytona 24 Hours race. He broke his leg and suffered rib and vertebrae fractures and his eyesight was affected to the extent he now often has to wear sunglasses. In 2010, Chad started his own business, McQueen Racing, which creates limited-edition motorcycles and automobile trans brakes.
