Now runs a Honda dealership in Oregon, and also flies planes, being a fully qualified commercial pilot. Parker also worked in TV and is also an accomplished trumpet player. He also does a bit of cycling and triathlon still. Parker was IMSA Camel Lights Class Champion for three successive years from 1991 to 1993, but he was also the long-time Honda Champcar test driver. He graduated from university with an engineering degree and also worked as a stunt driver in films; most notably in the successful film Speed, starring Sandra Bullock and Dennis Hopper. He is a member of both the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA). He lives in Wilsonville, where he has contributed heavily to local projects.
