3-litre Formula 1 World Championship events 1966-1985

These 1966 to 1985 results were initially compiled by Allen Brown, but these were in the very basic form required to track individual car histories. Since then further details, such as laps completed, qualifying times and so on, have been added from Rob Ryder's extensive database.

All comments, clarifications, corrections and additions are most welcome. Please email Allen at allen@oldracingcars.com if you can help with our research.

Individual sources for this event

Autosport 29 May 1975 pp8-15 (by Pete Lyons). Motor Sport July 1975 p730-732 (by 'DSJ' Denis Jenkinson).

Two entries arrived from McLaren, Tyrrell, Lotus, Brabham, March, Ferrari, Shadow, Williams and Hill. There were two Hesketh entries with Harry Stiller’s car as the second. Single entries arrived as usual from BRM, Surtees, Penske and Fittipaldi. Parnelli and Ensign did not attend, the former because Andretti was at the Indy 500 and the latter because Wunderink had been injured in a F5000 race, so there were only 24 entries. Technically, there was little change since Monaco.

The spare cars were a McLaren M23, Tyrrell 007, Lotus 72E, Brabham BT44B, Ferrari 312T, BRM P201, Shadow DN5, Surtees TS16, Hesketh 308 and Penske PC1. The spare Tyrrell was identified as 007/5 by both Autosport and Motor Sport.
