3-litre Formula 1 World Championship events 1966-1985
These 1966 to 1985 results were initially compiled by Allen Brown, but these were in the very basic form required to track individual car histories. Since then further details, such as laps completed, qualifying times and so on, have been added from Rob Ryder's extensive database.
All comments, clarifications, corrections and additions are most welcome. Please email Allen at allen@oldracingcars.com if you can help with our research.

Tyrrell-Matra had the usual pair of MS80s for Stewart and Beltoise and the 4WD MS84 for Johnny Servoz-Gavin, although there was no serious consideration of him driving it; Lotus the two 49Bs for Rindt and Hill plus Lotus 63 for Miles; Jack Brabham was back alongside Ickx in the two BT26As; McLaren had the two M7-series cars; Ferrari had two entries for three drivers in Chris Amon, Rodriguez and Tino Brambilla; and BRM had a second P139 at last, with the P138 becoming the spare. The new flat-12 Ferrari 312B was tested at Modena by Amon before the race, but consumed a piston and neither it nor Amon turned up. Brambilla was hopelessly slow in a 1969 Ferrari (with 1968 engine) so was replaced by Rodriguez who immediately went 2½ seconds faster. Tim Parnell was now team manager for the BRM team. Privateers were the Walker/Durlacher Lotus, Frank Williams whose Brabham BT26 had been "completely remade" by Racing Frames since Piers Courage's accident at the 'Ring, and Moser in his BT24, Crabbe's McLaren having been completely destroyed, and Tim Parnell's team disbanded. Bonnier did not arrive having wrecked his Lotus 49B at the Oulton Park Gold Cup. That added up to 15 entries and 17 cars.
