3-litre Formula 1 World Championship events 1966-1985
These 1966 to 1985 results were initially compiled by Allen Brown, but these were in the very basic form required to track individual car histories. Since then further details, such as laps completed, qualifying times and so on, have been added from Rob Ryder's extensive database.
All comments, clarifications, corrections and additions are most welcome. Please email Allen at allen@oldracingcars.com if you can help with our research.

There were two entries from each of Tyrrell, March, McLaren, Ferrari, Lotus and Williams; three each from BRM, Surtees and Brabham; and one from each of Matra, Tecno and Connew. The two privateers were the stockbroker March and Team Stommelen which was the remains of the Eifelland team since the caravan maker's new owners pulled out of F1. That gave a total of 26 entries. There would have been one non-qualifier, but Pescarolo solved that problem by crashing the Williams March 721 yet again. The spare cars were Stewart's Tyrrell 003 which was unused, Ickx's spare 312B2 which did not wear a T so nobody is sure how it was used, Amon's Matra MS120C, Fittipaldi's Lotus 72, Peterson's March 721G, the remaining McLaren M19A, and Beltoise BRM P160. There was a new McLaren M19C carrying the chassis plate from M19A/2, which was still confusing people 40 years later. The spare March 721G was fitted with a wide nose, which Jenks said "looked rather as if the Brabham BT34 and a Surtees TS9B had copulated and produced an offspring".
