Notes on the cars:

  1. Ralt RT1/77 [56] (Anders Olofsson): New to Anders Olofsson for 1977 according to Ralt records, and raced by him in European and Swedish F3 with backing from Puss o Kram Jeans. Retained by Olofsson for 1978, now as Strike Up Racing Team. To Pomeroy Racing Team for 1979, when it was raced by Olofsson and by Björn Ohlsson. Raced by Hans Edvinsson in 1980.
  2. Chevron B43 [43.78.19?] (Eje Elgh): One of four Chevron B43s order by Emil Frey AG and invoiced by Chevron to Freddy Kessler of Toyota Switzerland (Sasenwil, Switzerland). It is thought to be the car raced by Jim Crawford in the British championship in 1978, replacing the B38 he wrecked at Thruxton at the end of March. Crawford had been hired by the Frey/Toyota team as a driving coach. At Knutsdorp in August, Crawford made his European series debut in a Toyota Switzerland car, and this may have been a different car.
  3. Chevron B43 [43.78.07] (Patrick Gaillard): New to Chevron Racing Team for Patrick Gaillard to race in the European F3 championship in 1978. Sold to Barry Green for British F3 in 1979, and rented by Fred Opert Racing for Manuel Tolama to drive at the Monaco GP F3 event that year. To Rick Whyman for British F3 in 1980, then driven by Trevor Wigglesworth from August onwards after Whyman bought a March 793. Raced again by Wigglesworth for Rick Whyman Racing in 1981.
  4. Chevron B43 [43.78.08] (Michael Bleekemolen): New to Chevron Racing Team for Michael Bleekemolen to race in the European F3 championship in 1978, sponsored by F&S Properties. Unknown from 1979 to 1985, when it was used by Dennis Humphries in British libre events.
  5. Chevron B43 [43.78.21] (Jim Crawford): One of four Chevron B43s order by Emil Frey AG and invoiced by Chevron to Freddy Kessler of Toyota Switzerland (Sasenwil, Switzerland).
  6. Chevron B38 [38.77.12] (Pär Olsson): New to Fernando Spreafico and raced in European F3 in 1977. To Pär Olsson for Swedish F3 in 1978 and 1979. To Søren Aggerholm for the Swedish SSK series in 1980.
  7. Brabham BT38C [21?] (Bonde Hallenmark): Bonde Hallenmark raced a Brabham BT38C in Swedish Formula 3 in 1976, 1977 and 1978. As Ulf Svensson's BT38C/14 and Thorbjörn Carlsson's "ex Magee" BT38C/18 can be traced into 1976 or 1977, this is likely to have been the ex-Conny Andersson BT38C/21. Subsequent history unknown.
  8. GRD 372 [010] (Dick Berg): Raced by Canadian David McConnell in the 1972 Tasman series, using 2-litre Hart BDA engines. McConnell had a new B72 on order, and his plan was to sell the prototype to Jacques Couture. When that fell through, 010 was converted to F3 and sold to Mo Harness. Harness had won the 1971 Formula Ford Johnsons Wax Euro Trophy but turned down the test drive that had been offered as a prize with Ken Tyrrell and an F2 March. After a brief relationship with GRD, he then used an old BT28 F3 car in the first half of 1972 before acquiring sponsorship from Revolution Wheels and returning to GRD mid-season. Harness raced the GRD in British Formula 3 using Leabro engines. He then sold it to Jac Nellemann for Swedish F3 in 1973. In 1974, the car went to Jan Ridell, who raced it in Swedish 3, now using 2-litre Vegantune engines. Retained by Ridell for 1975, when he used Billgren BMW engines. Retained again by Ridell for 1976. To Dick Berg for Swedish F3 in 1977 and 1978, again with the Billgren BMW engines. Next seen in 1980, when it was raced by Mats Karlsson, now using Vegantune twin cams. Retained by Karlsson for 1981.
