Engineer at Lagonda before joining together with George Abecassis for HWM, the garage business he founded near his home,which also developed into a racing car business, albeit not mass-market, which produced neat, streamlined open-wheeled cars. As a driver, Heath's finest moment was winning the 1949 Manx Trophy in Douglas, Isle of Man. He was gravely injured in a crash at the Mille Miglia, dying later in hospital.
