Instrumental in Derek Bell's career. After his Formula 1 spell with Onyx, Earle built show cars, worked for the Sultan of Brunei and then managed sportscar/touring car outfit, Arena Motorsport, until the team went bust in 2012. In 2014, he announced that he was bringing back the Onyx name and subsequently, in 2015, the team competed in the new International TC3 touring car series. However he isn't running the team in 2016 and now only has limited involvement with the sport, retaining some business interests including motorsport preparation.
