Onyx, Lec, Kauhsen (1973-1989)

Instrumental in Derek Bell's career. After his Formula 1 spell with Onyx, Earle built show cars, worked for the Sultan of Brunei and then managed sportscar/touring car outfit, Arena Motorsport, until the team went bust in 2012. In 2014, he announced that he was bringing back the Onyx name and subsequently, in 2015, the team competed in the new International TC3 touring car series. However he now only has very limited involvement with the sport, retaining some business interests including motorsport preparation. He was also heavily involved with Zytek engines and is still a young driver consultant and manager. Earle also worked with Lec and Kauhsen as a team manager, as well as running the Church Farm racing team. Long based in Littlehampton, although he was born in nearby Rustington.
