Stayed in racing after joining Surtees from technical college, as he moved to Lotus and worked on their road car programme for some years. He is now no longer in the sport but is a business consultant, a corporate business specialist, business engineer planner and also works in intellectual property, and as well as this, Ken is also a consultant to a number of business and car companies and most recently has worked with a company called Zilift, who are an oil and gas pumping manufacturing and solutions business. Now lives in Hertfordshire, near Hitchin. He also formerly worked as part-time professor of engineering at Kingston University.
