Involved with motorsport from 1972 onwards, initially as a driver, Reynard ran his own motorsports and automotive team for years, before shutting down in 2002. In 2009, he returned to the sport as a car constructor, and remains linked as a consultant. He produced his first road car in 2012, and has numerous links with the aviation, marine and aerospace worlds. Runs a research and development company and is also an engineering tutor. He is now based in North Carolina running his R and D company, ARC, although he also has a home still in the UK. Adrian is a pioneering champion of electric road cars, but also still stays linked to his racing roots and is still closely linked to club racing in Britain, as well as being in charge of aerodynamic development of Ginetta's World Endurance Championship LMP1 effort. In 2023, Reynard became an astronaut when he ascended vertically to Mach 2.95 on the edge of space in the Virgin Galactic 3 spaceship.
