Long-time McLaren Formula 1 technical director, who had been with McLaren in various engineering capacities, including being design engineer, head of vehicle dynamics and before taking over as technical director, Tim worked on the powertrain side of the business with both engines and gearboxes. In 2018, Tim left McLaren. Goss had been at the team since 1990. Started his career at Cosworth in the mid 1980's. Goss qualified from Imperial College, London, with an engineering degree with a particular interest in engines, hence his initial move into the sport. In 2021, Tim was appointed as FIA Deputy Head of Single-Seater Technical Matters and in 2023, took more responsibility on as the FIA Technical Director. He left this role in 2024 and became Visa RB's chief technical officer.
