Successful touring car driver, who later became involved with sportscars, Benetton and Ligier, amongst others. However, he was a highly controversial figure, not least for his role in Arrows'' collapse, which lead to the end of his TWR empire. Died in 2010 after a battle with lung cancer. Just days before his death he was still deeply involved with Gloucester Rugby Club. In 2006, he announced a return to motorsport through the TWG group, which supplied Mitsubishi rally cars. He was also involved in the V8 series as a team boss.
