Killed whilst flying his plane, which carried members of his fledging Hill F1 team. A charming man, he was an exceptionally good driver, who worked hard to achieve the success he had in life. A mechanic before F1, he later achieved national fame through his media appearances. Even now, he is well loved and remembered by a large part of the British population, whether racing or non-racing fans. The only man to win Le Mans, the Indy 500 and the F1 World Championship, Norman Graham Hill also had the longest GP career of them all.
